Bottom lime

Prayer may not enough --

nor faith. Drink all of life

in a single gulp. Desert dawn,

use two fingers, squeeze juice

from lime, salt canyon rim,

trace the edge. Kneel, crawl,

spread lips, toast  morning dew,

savor sweet purple -- repeat at noon.

Red sky gone, swallow setting sun.

As midnight comes, lick the moon.
